Tickets for the 2026 Historic romantic Christmas Market “Königstein – a winter’s tale” are now available here in the Königstein Fortress online ticket shop.

Please note that, for the first time this year, there are two ticket rates:

• the discount ticket allows admission only between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. (available right here - please select a date in the calendar)
• the day ticket allows admission at any time between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. >>> switch to day tickets here(opens in a new tab)

Discount tickets for admission from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. are ideal for everyone who wants to enjoy the quieter morning atmosphere at the fortress and the market. These tickets are valid for admission only until 11 a.m., but you may stay at the fortress for as long as you like (until 7 p.m. at the latest). If you arrive at the fortress entrance after 11 a.m., the ticket will unfortunately no longer be valid.

For everyone who is not yet sure what time they will arrive at the entrance to Königstein Fortress, or who would like to visit Königstein Fortress and the Christmas market at midday or in the afternoon, we offer day tickets. These are valid all day and allow admission from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets are sold ONLY HERE in the online ticket shop. The number of tickets is limited. There are NO SALES at the TICKET OFFICE.

Adults: €14

for all visitors aged 17 and over

Adults with children under the age of 7 should select the ticket type “Adult with children under 7”. The number of children will be requested during the booking process. Every child requires their own free ticket for admission!

Family ticket (children aged 7–16): €34

valid for 2 adults and at least 1 to a maximum of 4 children (aged 7 to 16), plus optionally up to 4 younger children (aged 0–6)

Please note: the family ticket consists of several pages -> a ticket must be presented for every family member (printed or in a digital wallet)

Mini family ticket (children aged 7–16): €20

valid for 1 adult and at least 1 to a maximum of 2 children (aged 7 to 16), plus optionally up to 4 younger children (aged 0–6)

Reduced ticket: €10

Eligible for a reduced ticket: school pupils, university students, trainees, participants in the Federal Voluntary Service, holders of the Saxon Volunteer Card, people with severe disabilities upon presentation of the relevant ID, recipients of unemployment benefit upon presentation of the approval notice, and asylum seekers upon presentation of a temporary residence permit or tolerated-stay certificate.

Eligibility for the reduced rate will be checked at the entrance. If proof cannot be presented, a full-price ticket must be purchased. The reduced ticket will not be refunded.

Visitors eligible for a reduced ticket who are accompanied by children under the age of 7 should select the ticket type “Reduced-rate visitor with children under 7”. The number of children will be requested during the booking process. Every child requires their own free ticket for admission!

Free tickets for holders of Königstein Fortress annual passes or vouchers, Schlösserland cards or Saxony family passes cannot be booked here.
