Historic romantic Christmas Market at Königstein Fortress 2026 | Day Tickets

Tickets for the 2026 Historic romantic Christmas Market “Königstein – a winter’s tale” are now available here in the Königstein Fortress online ticket shop.

Please note that, for the first time this year, there are two ticket rates:

• day tickets for admission at any time between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (available right here - please select a date in the calendar)

• discount tickets for admission exclusively between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. >>> switch to the discount ticket here(opens in a new tab)

The day ticket is suitable for anyone who does not yet know exactly what time they would like to visit the Christmas market, or for visitors who plan to arrive at the entrance around midday or in the afternoon. The Christmas market day ticket also includes access to the entire fortress plateau and admission to the exhibitions.

The discount ticket for admission between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.(opens in a new tab) is ideal for early risers and anyone wishing to enjoy the quieter morning hours on the fortress plateau. There is no restriction on the length of your stay. Once inside the fortress, you may stay as long as you like. You can explore the entire fortress plateau and visit the exhibitions.

Tickets are sold ONLY HERE in the online ticket shop. The number of tickets is limited. THERE ARE NO TICKET SALES AT THE CASH DESK.

DAY TICKET PRICES AT A GLANCE

Adults: €17

for all visitors aged 17 and over

Adults with children under 7 should select the ticket type “Adult with children under 7”. The number of children will be requested during the booking process. Every child requires their own free ticket for admission!

Family ticket (children aged 7–16): €42

valid for 2 adults and at least 1 to a maximum of 4 children (aged 7 to 16), plus optionally up to 4 younger children (aged 0–6)

Please note: the family ticket consists of several pages. A ticket must be presented for every family member, either printed or stored in a digital wallet.

Mini family ticket (children aged 7–16): €25

valid for 1 adult and at least 1 to a maximum of 2 children (aged 7 to 16), plus optionally up to 4 younger children (aged 0–6)

Please note: the mini family ticket consists of several pages. A ticket must be presented for every family member, either printed or stored in a digital wallet.

Reduced ticket: €13

Eligible for a reduced ticket: school pupils, university students, apprentices and trainees, participants in the Federal Volunteer Service, holders of the Saxon Volunteer Card, persons with severe disabilities upon presentation of the relevant ID, recipients of unemployment benefit upon presentation of the approval notice, and asylum seekers upon presentation of their temporary residence permit or suspension of deportation certificate.

Eligibility for the reduced rate will be checked at the entrance. If the required proof cannot be presented, a full-price ticket must be purchased. The reduced ticket will not be refunded.

Visitors eligible for a reduced ticket who are accompanied by children under 7 should select the ticket type “Reduced-rate visitor with children under 7”. The number of children will be requested during the booking process. Every child requires their own free ticket for admission!

Group ticket: €13

for groups of 15 or more people

Orders can be placed in the online ticket shop; minimum order: 15 tickets.

Groups must present their tickets in printed form.

Free tickets for pass and voucher holders

Königstein Fortress annual passes, Schlösserland cards, vouchers for admission to the fortress and Saxony state family passes are also valid for the historical-romantic Christmas market. For admission to the Christmas market, free “holder tickets”, which can be scanned at the entrance, must be booked online. Booking these holder tickets is completely free of charge.

The relevant proof of eligibility for free admission—one of the cards, vouchers or passes listed above—must be presented at the entrance. Otherwise, a full-price ticket must be booked on site online, subject to remaining availability.
